Ferrari for $15,704,746.48… is it worth it?

Good evening all..

Listening music: Danger Zone, Kenny Loggins

At Maranello, the home place of the prancing horse, a 1957 Ferrari 250 TR sold for 15 million dollars. This is now the most expensive car to be sold in an auction. Who could blame it, its one of the most beautiful cars ever seen by man. The red and black paint job screams Darth Maul in a classical and elegant way. The sound of the 300 bhp (It was a lot back then) V12 that revved to a glorious 7,200 rpm would be enough to make you and your passenger hit the non-existent roof. But is it worth the 15 million and 40 cents price tag?

The bean counter in you is screaming at the top of his lungs. NO!!!!! This is an overly expensive trophy piece. There are many better cars out there for a tenth of the money needed for this hunk of metal. “When will you ever take it out?” will be a question running through the heads of everyone hoping to buy the Italian steed. This precious handmade masterpiece will eventually rust in your garage never to be heard again.

But on those occasional days where the sun is bright, the sky is blue and the road is clear, this 52-year-old beauty will be roaring up a mountain road with the only sound heard is the bellowing V12. This is all the reason you need.
